With the large search dial, you can use the HyperDeck Shuttle HD as a teleprompter. There are also options for managing external disks in the settings menu. You can even add a Blackmagic MultiDock 10G that has 4 separate SSD media slots, so you can add compatibility with SSD media to the HyperDeck Shuttle. If you are required to record to other types of media, the USB-C expansion port lets you plug in an external flash disk for recording. That’s over 6 days of recording in HD using a single 1 TB card. This means you can record up to 157 hours of H.264 in 1080p59.94 on a 1 TB card. When using H.264, the files are so nice and small so you get very long recordings even on smaller low-cost cards. When using USB disks, if you use a USB hub, or Blackmagic MultiDock, you can even record on multiple disks for nonstop recording.
You also have the option to record to external USB disks. The HyperDeck Shuttle also supports recording to common SD cards and UHS-II cards so you don’t need to use expensive custom media. It even features a built-in teleprompter which looks interesting. HyperDeck Shuttle HD uses the same design as ATEM Mini Extreme, so it’s a perfect combination to use as a media player. Plus SD cards, UHS-II cards and USB-C external disks can be used for recording and playing media. The HDMI connections allow connection to switchers, cameras and monitors.
